Chris Thompson ~ Owner & Photographer

Chris Thompson has lived in the Northwest all of his life, much of it in Spokane, WA. While in high school, he moved with his family to Pendleton, OR. In 1995, he became interested in photography after he borrowed his father's Minolta X-370 35mm film camera for an Intro to Photography class in high school. After high school, he moved back to Spokane. He had been shooting photos as an amateur up until 2006, when he enrolled in the photography program at Spokane Falls Community College. Chris graduated in the spring of 2008 with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Photography. He is also looking to some day further his photographic endeavors by enrolling at The Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, CA.

Much of Chris' inspiration comes from architecture; he is able to capture the beauty of steel, brick, and glass much like a nature photographer would capture the beauty of a flower or a stream. He is also recognized for capturing vibrant colors with long exposure and night photography. He prefers to shoot film with his medium format and 4x5 large format cameras; however in the digital age, his main tools are becoming the film scanner and digital cameras.
